Evangelist Rick Lairsey

Rick J Lairsey is an Ordained Bishop with the Church of God (Cleveland, Tennessee, USA) serving as an at-large National Evangelist. He is also the Founder of his evangelistic ministry, Flashpoint Ministries, Inc. 

Evangelist Rick J Lairsey is known for delivering a positive, Word-Centered message of hope and healing for the lost, broken and hurting. He was 13 years old when he first heard and accepted the call to ministry. Since that time, it has been his desire to fulfill his purpose by reaching people with the message of Jesus Christ. Past experiences of brokenness have fully enabled Rick to effectively communicate the message with sensitivity and persuasion. It is his transparency concerning past mistakes and failures that emboldens the message of hope. Rick believes that when ministering to those that are hurting or feeling hopeless, it is imperative to provide direction from the Word of God.

Rick grew up in Barnwell, SC where he graduated High School in 1979.  He then furthered his studies at Lee University in Cleveland, Tennessee until 1982.  He then left to become State Evangelist for the Texas Church of God. Since that time, Rick has served as Senior Pastor of Churches in Mississippi, Virginia, Georgia, and Maryland.  In 2002 he resigned his church in Damascus, Maryland of 9 years to follow the leading of his heart in the area of Evangelism. In his 32 years of ministry, Rick has served on many boards and committee’s within the Church of God. Rick has a Bachelors Degree in Pastoral Studies and a Masters Degree in Ministry Leadership.

It should also be noted that Rick has also been the featured Speaker in Camp Meetings, Prayer Conferences and other Regional Meetings. His heart is to reach a worldwide harvest of souls and believes that in these troublesome times, God is emptying Himself out upon people that are thirsting and hungry for God! Summing up who this man is can be stated in this manner — Rick J Lairsey is a Christ Follower and Passionate Preacher of the Word of God.

Rick lives in Cleveland, Tennessee, where he is fulfilling his role as National Evangelist for the Church of God. He is the proud father of three sons, Chris, Tyler, and Zachary, who are Christ followers. His two beautiful daughter-in-laws, Denise and Rachel, are Christ followers. His greatest joy is being “Papa” to seven wonderful grandchildren. His commitment and determination is to leave a legacy of faith for his family.  He is not ashamed of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
